Naturopath for PCOS

A Personalised Approach to PCOS Support

PCOS isn’t the same for everyone. Some people have more obvious signs of androgen excess, like acne or facial hair. Some struggle mainly with irregular or missing periods. Others have insulin resistance, inflammation, stress-related hormone disruption, gut symptoms, or fertility concerns. Many have a mix of several things going on at once.

That’s why I don’t believe in treating PCOS with a generic plan. In clinic, I take the time to understand your full health history, menstrual cycle, symptoms, diet, digestion, stress levels, sleep, movement, pathology results and lifestyle. Where appropriate, we may also look at functional testing or further blood work to better understand hormones, insulin, inflammation, nutrient status, thyroid markers or other relevant areas.

The goal is not to drown you in data; it’s to build a clearer picture so we can make better decisions.

Why Work with a Naturopath for PCOS?

Working with a naturopath for PCOS can be helpful if you feel like you’ve been given a diagnosis but not much direction, or if you’ve been told to “just lose weight” without anyone properly explaining what’s happening in your body… PCOS care should be more nuanced than that.

My approach is evidence-informed, practical and individualised. I’ll help you understand the possible drivers behind your symptoms, what your test results may be telling us, and which changes are likely to make the biggest difference for you. Sometimes that means starting with food and blood sugar. Sometimes it’s stress, sleep and nervous system support. Sometimes it’s gut health, inflammation, thyroid function, or carefully selected herbs and nutrients.

And sometimes, it’s also about helping you stop blaming yourself.

If you’ve been diagnosed with PCOS, or you suspect it might be part of your health picture, you probably already know how frustrating it can feel. Irregular cycles, acne, unwanted hair growth, hair thinning, mood changes, fatigue, cravings, weight changes, bloating, painful periods, or difficulty conceiving can all start to feel like separate problems… but often, they’re connected.

As a clinical naturopath and nutritionist, I work with PCOS by looking at the whole picture. Not just your cycle. Not just your skin. Not just your blood sugar. And definitely not just a supplement protocol you found online at midnight when you were trying to figure out why your body feels like it’s working against you.

When people search for a naturopath for PCOS, they’re usually looking for more than a label. They want to understand what’s actually driving their symptoms, what they can do about it, and how to support their body in a way that feels realistic long term.

What Naturopathic Care for PCOS May Involve

When I’m supporting someone with PCOS, the plan may include nutrition, herbal medicine, targeted supplementation, lifestyle changes and practical strategies to support hormone balance, metabolic health and cycle regularity.

Depending on your needs, we may focus on:

  • Supporting stable blood sugar and insulin sensitivity

  • Improving ovulation and menstrual cycle regularity

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Supporting gut health and hormone metabolism

  • Addressing nutrient deficiencies

  • Managing stress and nervous system load

  • Improving sleep and energy

  • Supporting skin health

  • Preparing the body for fertility, if that’s part of your goal

Food is often a big part of the conversation, but not in a restrictive, joyless, “never eat carbs again” kind of way. I care far more about helping you build meals that support your hormones, energy and metabolism while still fitting into your actual life. Your treatment plan should feel supportive, not like a punishment.
